One of the best portable hot tubs that you can inflate and assemble yourself, the Coleman Lay Z Spa is definitely worthy of consideration.

It's from a trusted company of outdoor goods - Coleman, which you are definitely familiar with if you go camping. Their high quality products continue, moving from camping to even inflatable hot tubs.

For one, it has a digital control panel that you can use to easily set the temperature and control the massage features.

Coleman Lay Z Spa Inflatable Hot Tub

It’s constructed to withstand the elements, with sturdy I-Beam construction and heavy-duty TriTech 3-ply reinforced material. You also get a cushioned air pad floor, which doesn’t just give additional comfort and insulation. This also helps prevent the heat from escaping. In this Coleman hot tub review we'll move forward by laying out the pros and cons.

Pros

It can hold as much as 254 gallons, which is more than what you get with other inflatable tubs. That means depending on the size of the adults, it can contain as much as 4-6 people in it, making it really fun. For everyone.

This has a rapid heating system, so you don’t have to wait too long for the water to be warm. Aside from that, another great thing about this is that once it gets warm, it actually stays that way.

That’s because this inflatable hot tub is made of material that’s designed to keep the water extra warm. The outer walls are made of fabric-coated material, and it comes with a pool cover that has an aluminum foil coating.

This inflatable hot tub is really user-friendly, and that’s definitely a big plus. It also comes with a helpful DVD that gives you complete and easy-to-follow instructions, so assembly isn’t a problem at all.

Filtering the water and keeping it fresh and clean is a common problem with other hot tubs, but that is not the case with this offering from Coleman, making the best inflatable jacuzzi.

Cons

Particularly for those who use their hot tub regularly, some have encountered problems with the pump. After several months of using it, the pump would have major issues or simply wouldn’t work anymore.

Generally, users are really satisfied with this product. However, some have found that while it’s great if fully inflated, over time the inflation will decrease. Some think this might be because of leaks that crop up, but it’s not a given.

As one of the best inflatable hot tub options you can benefit from, this Spa-N-A-Box gives you access to the best state-of-the-art technology when it comes to spas.

It looks great and does what it promises to do, so it’s really worth buying - which is why we put it #2 on our best rated portable hot tub. It's not the easiest to move, but it is easier than a lot of other options!

It’s also completely portable, so you can bring this technology with you wherever you go. Fit for both indoor and outdoor locations, you can now get your therapeutic massage anytime you need it.

Pros

The ability to bring your spa with you wherever you go is one thing, but the actual ease of plugging and playing is even better. This easy plug-and-play feature is one thing that this portable spa has going for it, making it super convenient.

Even when you’re in a really cold place or at the peak of winter, you can still use this spa and get the heated water and massage that you need. As long as it’s properly maintained and your filter works efficiently, this will hold up.

You get all the features that you want from a spa with hydrotherapeutic massage, and you get to enjoy this without worrying about all the other things. For one, it doesn’t require any plumbing. If you live in the tropics, this uses about the same amount of power as your typical 100W light bulb.

Aside from that, the heater is controlled thermostatically, so it will only run when it’s needed to maintain the water’s temperature. The filtration pump also runs 24/7, so you need not worry about the quality of the water.

One of the most important features of any portable spa is the actual massage, because this is really one of the main reasons why people get a spa in the first place. This one comes with a relaxing turbo wave massage, which can truly help you relax your muscles.

Cons

In terms of functionality, this portable spa does what it’s expected to do. However, when the jets are turned on, they can give off a loud sound that others may find bothersome. If you don’t turn on the jets, the spa will just give off a soft hum that’s relaxing and therapeutic.

Currently, this can only be shipped to locations within the United States or to APO/FPO addresses. It’s not eligible for international shipping, so if you live outside the country you’ll have to go with another option.

Is It Worth It?

This spa from comfort line is definitely a portable hot tub to consider. It's got great features, is high quality, and the only major con people seem to be concerned about is that the jets are a bit loud. Get some ear plugs and you have almost a perfect hot tub!

This bubble massage spa set by Intex is something you can bring along with you everywhere, to be enjoyed by friends and family.

It can fit up to 4 people, can be stored conveniently, and has a built-in hard water treatment system to ensure that the water you get won’t harm your skin and clog the filters.

Pros

The great thing about this one is that it’s easy to inflate and keep, so you can really bring it from one place to another. When you bring it with you, you’re also bringing along all of the technology that it’s equipped with.

This comes with a built-in hard water treatment system with filter cartridge, and this ensures that the water is gentle enough on your skin. This prevents hard water build up, which makes sure your spa lasts for a long time.

You also get a great massage from the 120 high-powered bubble jets. Aside from this, you get an insulated cover and lock, which minimizes heat loss.

This portable spa set is definitely low maintenance, thanks to the 2 filter cartridges that are very easy to replace. If you want clean and refreshing spa water, you just need to deal with these cartridges.

PureSpa is made with fiber-tech construction, which gives you only the highest standards and enhanced high-strength fibers. The material itself is also puncture-resistant and three-ply laminated, adding to the durability.

You can easily adjust the temperature as well as activate the bubble jets through the digital control panel, which is also easy to operate. With the touch of a button, PureSpa gives you the relaxation you deserve.

Cons

Intex only allows you to return or replace defective products within 30 days of purchase, which some find too short and limiting. In case you really have to contact Intext to return the product or have a defective part replaced, you have to be aware that customers are also responsible for shipping costs.

The manufacturer guide says it can accommodate 4 people, but that also depends on size. Basically, this round spa can handle as much as 210 gallons, with a diameter of around 58 inches.

Is It Worth It?

This Intex inflatable hot tub is a great option - particularly those who love Intex products. It's easy to use and maintain with a digital control panel. However, if you have more than 4 people you may want to consider another option as this is best suited for 4 people and under.

  • Durable
  • Easy to use, digital control panel

Things We Didn't Like

  • Holds only 4 people

One of the best portable hot tubs you can get in the market today, the Lay-Z-Spa Miami has the superior durability and strength that you can count on. Basically, it’s made of a 3-ply reinforced material – two outer layers of laminated PVC enclosing a polyester mesh core

Pros

For this inflatable hot tub to be set-up and ready to use, you don’t need to go through a difficult installation process. There’s practically no need for tools and you don’t need to hire a professional just to install this.

Designed with the user in mind, this inflatable hot tub can actually be set up within minutes, and this remains true whether you’re indoors or outdoors.

You also get a detailed instructional DVD, so you certainly won’t waste any time trying to figure out poorly written instructions.

This comes with a handy digital control panel, which you can use to activate the Lay-Z-Spa massage easily. This features 120 bubble jets which give you bubbles that will work best for your sore muscles.

One of the best things about this spa is its rapid heating system, which means you don’t have to wait ages before the water heats up. This heating system allows you to heat up the water in the fastest and also safest way possible.

This unit comes with its own water filtration system and chemical floater, and you can refer to the user manual to use it properly. With these features, the water remains fresh for you to use.

Because of this item’s durability as well as its sturdy beam construction, you get a hot tub that’s resistant from punctures that would otherwise affect other hot tubs in its class.

Cons

One problem that users have encountered is that when the bubbler is turned on, this hot tub can be quite noisy. This is a minor qualm because most people would prefer their time in the hot tub to be really relaxing, so if you want the bubbler on you’ll have to deal with it.

Depending on how often you use this and how much heating you want, especially in the colder months, you should definitely expect some changes in your electricity bill. Just remember that this runs on electricity, so the more you use it, the higher your bill will be.

The SaluSpa Air Jet Miami can be seen as a best portable hot tub. It does its job well and is worthy of consideration. With a bunch of things going for it and few operational cons it's hard not to be pleased by the SaluSpa Miami AirJet

Things We Liked

  • Hassle-free set up
  • Easy to operate
  • Rapid heating system
  • Good water and chemical filtration system

Things We Didn't Like

  • Can be a bit loud
  • Not the most energy efficient

With a slightly bigger water capacity of 254 gallons, the SaluSpa Palm Springs AirJet is one of the best best inflatable hot tubs and can comfortably fit around 4-6 people. It has a cushioned air mat floor and a Lay-Z-Spa massage system that many will surely enjoy.

When you have this with you, you get to enjoy heated water up to a high of 104 degrees Fahrenheit. It also has greater depth and room to move around, so it’s more spacious than most other portable hot tubs.

Pros

It’s very simple to get this up and running, and you hardly need any tools. You shouldn’t worry about dealing with complicated instructions either, because as a bonus, this comes with a DVD to guide you with set-up and maintenance.

Because this is portable and you literally bring it around with you, it’s great that it’s sturdy and durable. When you use it, you really feel that the material you’re resting on is firm but comfortable at the same time.

This is because of the puncture-resistant, I-Beam construction that offers extra strength and durability. It’s made of a TriTech 3-ply reinforced material with polyester mesh core and 2 layers of PVC, so it’s really more durable than other spas.

The Lay-Z-Spa system gives you a comfortable and relaxing spa experience, and this is easy to fix through the digital control panel. You can easily adjust the temperature to your liking, and then press a button to activate the massage. You will feel this through the bubbles jetting out.

The insulation under foot and in the back side is already pretty comfortable. But aside from that, sitting underneath the spa, you get a separate air pad cushioned floor. This gives added comfort but also minimizes heat loss.

Cons

This unit is 110V and draws up to 12A, so you can’t use the heater (11A) and the bubble blower (7A) at the same time. You can heat up the water first and then activate the bubbles only when the heating’s done.

Others have experienced problems with the filters, which tend to clog easily and do not clean easily either. You will have to monitor the spa constantly because there is no automatic filtering system that you can just leave.

Is It Worth It?

Like the SaluSpa Miami, the SaluSpa Palm Springs AirJet is another solid choice though the Miami is a bit better. However, this won't disappoint as it was clearly built for comfort and to last. It does have a few functional problems unlike the Miami so go with the Miami instead of this model if you don't mind paying a little more.

Things We Liked

  • Easy to install
  • Sturdy construction
  • Built in massage system
  • Ultimate comfort

Things We Didn't Like

Many people prefer the slow and relaxing pace of a bathtub compared to a shower, but this is hardly possible if you have a much smaller and constricted space.

The wonderful thing about the Adult Spa Inflatable Bath Tub, which only weighs 7.2 pounds, is that you literally get to bring a bathtub with you wherever you go.

Pros

Sturdiness is a valid concern when it comes to bathtubs, because the last thing you want is for the thing to leak while you’re supposedly enjoying your relaxing bath. This one is surprisingly sturdy.

While the tub itself does not heat water, you can heat water separately and fill the tub with it for a nice warm bath. Because there’s a cover, this water can stay that way for a long time.

Made with high quality PVC, you can rest assured that this hot tub is made of BPA-free material that you can rely on. So even if it’s your toddler or child who uses it, you can be assured that the material is safe and free of the harmful stuff.

This inflatable bathtub was designed with the users’ utmost convenience in mind. Not only is the experience of being inside the bathtub utterly comfortable, it’s also really easy to get in and out of it.

Cons

This comes with a foot pump, but completely inflating the entire thing with it can take you a long time. It would be less frustrating if you have a battery-operated pump, but you’d have to get this separately.

This length of this bathtub is 160cm, which is ideal for most. However, if you’re very tall or you have tall people in your family, this size isn’t exactly comfortable.

It’s also worth noting that because a part of it is inflated or cushioned, the actual inner space you get is only 120 x 45 x 46 cm. Just be mindful of these dimensions and the size of the bathtub’s potential users.

Is It Worth It?

It's not the number one choice, but this inflatable bath tub serves a unique purpose. If you're short on room and just want a small spa for yourself without breaking the bank then it's a good choice.

It's not meant for more than one person, but other than that it is surprisingly functional. It keeps the water hot, it's surprisingly sturdy, and is very comfortable.

Things We Liked

  • Surprisingly sturdy
  • Water stays hot
  • BPA free material
  • Easy to get in/out of

Things We Didn't Like

The SaluSpa Hawaii HydroJet Pro is also completely portable, giving you access to a Lay-Z-Massage system with 8 adjustable HydroJets. This can heat up the water rapidly, up to as high as 104 degrees Fahrenheit. It also has a built-in salt water and hard water system.

If you’re looking for a hot tub that can comfortably fit 4-6 people, this might be the one for you. You can easily set this up yourself, without having to use any tools.

Pros

Who says you need to choose between jets and bubbles, when you can have both? This inflatable hot tub gives you the ability to choose between these two features, but you can’t enjoy them at the same time. Still, this is something that not all hot tubs in its category can give.

For a portable spa, the water pressure from the jets is actually quite strong and impressive. This is particularly true if you open the jets all the way. If you’re not keen on using the jets and want to use the bubbles instead, you’d be happy to know that the bubbles are also strong. Regardless of what you choose, you really get the pressure you need.

Designed simply and with user experience in mind, this one’s actually pretty easy to set-up, which is a great relief to many. You don’t need to figure out anything complicated because they’ve made it pretty easy to assemble, even for first-timers.

Noisy motors often become a problem for spas like this, because if the motor is noisy you can hardly relax and you’d have to talk louder if you’re in the spa with other people. With this inflatable hot tub however, the motor won’t give you this sort of problem.

The motor itself is very quiet, you can even run it at night outside your bedroom slider. The heater also doesn’t make any additional noise, so you can really brace yourself for a quiet and relaxing time in the water. The water jets and the bubbles have a bit of sound, but the noise levels are definitely manageable.

Cons

Depending on your usage, you typically need to change your water every 2 or 3 weeks. Also, you have to make sure you’re cleaning your filters regularly. Following the directions on chlorinating and salinating is also critical, because you need to keep your chemicals balanced.

During winter, it’s difficult to keep this in the outdoors because the motor won’t heat the water if the temperatures are lower than freezing point. It would also mean that you’ll be using a lot of power to keep the water heated.

Is It Worth It?

SaluSpa has many products available in the inflatable hot tub / portable hot tub space, but this is the worst of the 3 that we reviewed. Having said that it isn't bad at all  and will do its job in helping you relax. However, you'd be better pressed to go with the Miami or Palm Springs.

This is a decent choice if you're looking for a high end, but is hardly the best inflatable pool for the money.

Things We Liked

  • Simultaneous jets and bubbles
  • Jets provide great massage
  • Easy to set up
  • Quiet motor

Things We Didn't Like

  • Needs regular maintenance
  • Should be stored during the winter

M Spa Hot Tub

#3 on our inflatable spa reviews list, this hot tub from M-SPA is made of premium 3-layer laminated PVC and comes with 105 air bubble jets. It has a built-in heater that goes to a maximum temperature of 104 degrees Fahrenheit.

Pros

To use it, you need to inflate it, fill the tub up with water, and then you can simply submerge your body, lie down and relax your muscles. You can practically inflate and set everything from the control box, so the relaxation you crave isn’t too far away.

A good thing about this is everything’s built-in, including the heater. It also already comes with a cover that keeps the heat in, which really works and is quite convenient. You can easily set the temperature, and it’s quiet enough so you won’t be bothered by any unnecessary noise.

You also get a patented built-in control box with touch button controls. This control panel can also inflate the spa, so you don’t need to worry about how to do that separately.

Cons

The written instructions could use a lot of improvement, because they’re not that easy to understand. It’s a bit confusing especially if you don’t have experience setting up a hot tub before. There’s also no mention of how to install the filter.

This measures 62 x 62 x 27 inches, but it’s inflatable so the water capacity itself is only about 184 gallons. That’s far too small to fit several adults comfortably. At most, you can use it for either 2 adults or for three kids without much moving around.

One other thing that many users complain about is that this tub actually takes very long to heat up the water, and this can get really annoying. If you’re already planning to use it at a particular time, this means you have to heat it up 2 or 3 days in advance. Not everyone has that patience.

There’s a limiting factor with regards to shipping. At present, this product is not eligible for international shipping, so you can only get it delivered straight to your doorstep if you live in the United States.

Is It Worth It?

It has decent features, but it can be frustrating initially. It isn't terrible, but you can do way better. Not a recommended buy.

Things We Liked

  • Great built in features
  • Easy to use, touch-button controls
  • Built in massage system

Things We Didn't Like

  • Poor setup instructions
  • Pretty small
  • Takes a while to heat up

A body spa like no other, you can actually use this inflatable lounge chair filled with Orbeez beads to relieve your stress and muscle aches. With features like soothing vibration as well as hand pouches, you basically submerge you body in the softness of the Orbeez beads.

This one includes 6,000 Orbeez beads that you can use, and these beads will in turn help you in relaxing. Even if you don’t use the beads, this also doubles as a comfortable chair.

Pros

This is definitely one of the most unique body spas you’ll ever lay your eyes on, and the concept is something fresh and exciting. The addition of the Orbeez beads makes it intriguing as well.

This fun and exciting product is something that attracts people of all ages – even kids. In fact, it’s quite ideal to give to children as a gift, because it can be really attractive for them. This product is also ideal for fun and quirky personalities.

Cons

By itself, the inflatable chair or lounge already comes in a pink and purple scheme, so if you’re looking for a serious massaging body spa, this is not the product for you. The color alone is a turn-off to most people and limits the market from the onset.

Aside from the actual chair, tis comes with colorful Orbeez beads, which makes it look even more like a toy and less of a spa.

The idea of it is fun and exciting, and at first it seems like it might actually work. However, when you actually use it and the hundreds of Orbeez beads start bouncing around, then things can become really really messy.

For one, the Orbeez beads can roll over to other places in the house, making it such a pain in the ass to clean. These gel beads can also puncture easily, collect dust, and basically give you all sorts of reasons to think that your purchase is as impractical as it looks.

Many users have encountered leaks or tiny holes on the chair itself, and this could be a problem because that means the body spa loses air and becomes deflated.

This means that as a massaging body spa, this doesn’t really have the ability to hold air well. Unfortunately, without the proper inflation, it’s not effective and in fact, it loses its purpose altogether.

Is It Worth It?

Simply put, No. The only good thing about it is its whacky and unique colors, but that can be a con in itself. Poorly made and difficult to clean up, the Massaging Body Spa from Orbeez is not worth it at all.

Things We Liked

  • Unique
  • Good for fun personalities

Things We Didn't Like

  • Design and color scheme can be funky for some
  • Difficult to clean up
  • Poorly made
